Tamir Avigdor

Brain

Tamir Avigdor received his MSc in Brain and Behavioral Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In his thesis on the mechanism of general anesthesia, he explored the ECoG response followed by acute microinjection of GABA-R agonist. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Integrated Program in Neuroscience at McGill University. His research investigates fast oscillations in epilepsy and sleep using HD-EEG and intracranial EEG. His current projects focus on using intracranial EEG to study the behavior of fast activity during brain awakening and in REM microstates.
